AkdemIstanbul Organizes Lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Arabic Language Teaching
On Friday, May 9, 2025, AkdemIstanbul Language Center held an insightful academic lecture titled
“Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Arabic: Integration for Impact.”
The session was delivered by Dr. Atiya Yousef, Director of Instruction at the Flagship Program, Indiana University, USA — a leading expert in the field of Arabic language education for non-native speakers.
The lecture was conducted via Zoom and simultaneously streamed live on AkdemIstanbul’s official YouTube channel.
It attracted over 200 participants from various countries, including educators, researchers, and individuals with a keen interest in the integration of artificial intelligence in Arabic teaching and education.
The presentation explored several critical areas: the importance of incorporating AI technologies into Arabic language instruction, current challenges facing the field, and a forward-looking vision of enhancing teaching effectiveness through meaningful collaboration between educators and advanced technologies.
Special attention was given to how artificial intelligence can support the teaching of Modern Standard Arabic and improve the overall experience of Arabic learning, particularly through interactive tools and learner-centered methods. The role of AI in making Arabic language courses more accessible and effective — especially in online learning environments — was also highlighted.
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Ahmad Al-Rahban, Director of AkdemIstanbul Language Center, presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Atiya Yousef in recognition of his valuable contribution to this distinguished academic gathering.
Participants expressed their appreciation for the lecture’s rich scientific content and emphasized the importance of such events in supporting the ongoing professional development of educators and researchers working in the field of Arabic language learning.
This lecture is part of a broader series of academic programs regularly organized by AkdemIstanbul Language Center, which continues to lead initiatives in the fields of Arabic teaching and pedagogy. The center remains committed to strengthening the exchange of expertise at both local and international levels and will soon announce upcoming events designed to further advance the science of Arabic language education.
